This has been my workplace for the last couple of months. I couldn't be more blessed to have the opportunity to come to Costa Rica and spend a couple of months on the beach as I work on my first book. It is interesting that even though we can be so rewarded by life, sometimes we can still take it for granted. Although, I have been very mindful of how lucky I am this entire time, there were still a few days when my programmed mind went into its normal, "now what" stage. We seem to always want more than what we already have. It's a shame, but it's how society brings us up, wanting the next thing, when we should really just enjoy what we have today. It was easy for me to kick my mindset back into line when I get to see these sunsets night, after night, after night...
But, the next time you are feeling "unlucky" or down on life, think about the good things in your life. Not everyone is lucky enough to have the Costa Rican sunsets to draw them out, but even the smallest things can be the best things to be appreciative of. Whatever it is, be thankful for what you have, and keep your mind set on the good things in life, and good things will come your way.
